Advocate Chaudhry Maqsood Gujjar stated in his petition that Pakistan was facing an energy crisis, which has affected industrial and economic activities. The project was started to help the country overcome the energy shortage, he said, but the government had failed to provide funds for it, which can lead to the closure of the project.

At the LHC admitted the petition? Pathetic!
@Kestrel: Keep quite. This is not true at all.
It is unfortunate that the present and the previous governments have willfully neglected the Thar Coal Project, despite the fact that the country is facing severe shortage of electricity.
We don't have an accountability process in the country to hold the political leadership responsible for willful negligence and not to choose the same old faces time and gain.
The 18 billion people after electing their representatives from their respective constituencies feel that they are made hostage for five-year term when the dreams of the nation do not come true.
What is the sense for holding a public office when an elected representative cannot do any thing productive in his or her constituency just due to one simple reason that his or her productive ideas do not fall with the lines of the political party who gave him/her the party ticket.
This is one of the main reasons that people look towards military dictators.
Mr. Zardari and his party will complete the five-year term and for the sake of gaining political mileage they will sing the son in chorus that for the first time in the history of Pakistan PPP has completed a five-year term but the question arises: at what cost and what have PPP done for a common man of Pakistan?
