Children’s hospital: ‘Special package’ to fill vacancies, says YDA
YDA says the government’s inability to fill the posts illustrated its lack of commitment towards child health.
LAHORE:
The Young Doctors Association (YDA) has urged the Punjab government to fill positions for 47 consultants at Children’s Hospital that have been vacant for two years. YDA officials said that the government’s inability to fill the posts illustrated its lack of commitment towards child health. “The government is keen on building new hospitals and installing new machineries but is least concerned about the lack of doctors and consultants,” YDA officials said. They said that the only way the government could fill the posts was to offer a “special salary package”.
