Robbery: ‘Killed by accomplice’s bullet’

Witnesses said the robbers had started firing on receiving resistance from the people.

FAISALABAD: A robbery suspect was killed on Sunday from a bullet fired by one of his accomplices in Thikriwala police station precincts. Police identified the deceased as Ali Abid, son of Wajid, a resident of Chak 241-RB. They said Abid suffered a bullet hit by one of his accomplices during a robbery near Dinga Railway Phattak bypass. Witnesses said the robbers had started firing on receiving resistance from the people. They said as Abid fell following the gunshot, his accomplices fled the scene.
