Speed kills: Three killed, 15 injured

Police arrested a trailer driver and impounded the vehicle in one of the accidents.

SUKKUR: Three men, including a police sub-inspector, were killed and 15 others were injured in two separate road accidents on Sunday. Two men were involved in an accident, leaving one man, a police sub-inspector, dead and his friend injured on the Sukkur-Shikarpur road near Lakhi Ghulam Shah. Mohammad Ismail Mahar and Ghulam Shabbir were travelling on a motorcycle from Sukkur to Habibkot when they were struck by a speeding trailer. Mohammad Ismail Mahar was pronounced dead on the scene and the injured man was shifted to Lakhi Ghulam Shah Hospital. Police arrested the trailer driver and impounded the vehicle. Another incident took place at the National Highway near Sangi, where a bus overturned.
