Addressing a public gathering here in Shankiari on Tuesday, the PML-N chief said that instead of foreign countries, President Asif Ali Zardari should have visited the flood affected areas. The PML-N, he said, would never leave the flood affectees alone and the Punjab government would send relief goods soon for them.
He made it clear that he is not visiting Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa to pursue a political agenda, but to show his solidarity with those affected by the floods. “The floods have created havoc in the country; therefore I appeal to the prime minister and chief minister Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa to help the affectees,” he said.
He said that the federal and provincial government has neglected the flood affected people of Hazara and no one has provided relief to them; but the PML-N would do whatever it could do for the people of Hazara and Kohistan. Condoling with the bereaved families of Kohistan, he said that the Punjab government would provide them assistance and relief goods.
