Accident: Cop hurt in crash with US embassy car

US national took the injured policeman to Polyclinic hospital and also apologised for the incident, said the police.

ISLAMABAD: A police constable riding his private motorbike suffered injuries in collision with a United States Embassy vehicle near China Chowk on Friday. Kohsar police said Constable Nasir Jamal was on his way to the Security Division on his motorbike when a Toyota four-wheeler driven by an American national Michael from US embassy hit him on Shaheed-e-Millat Road. The US national took the injured policeman to Polyclinic hospital and also apologised for the incident, said the police. The Kohsar police said the police official was discharged from the hospital after emergency treatment as his injuries were not of a serious nature. The police official did not want legal action against the US national.
