Cardiac arrest: Police official dies

Muhammad Iqbal suffered a heart attack and parked his car on the shoulder of the road.

ISLAMABAD: A senior police head constable died of a heart attack on Friday while on his way to Chishtian, the police said.

Muhammad Iqbal suffered a heart attack and parked his car on the shoulder of the road. Family members travelling with him called emergency services for help and Iqbal was taken to a hospital where doctors declared him dead.

His body was sent to his native town of Mianwali for burial, the police said. Iqbal joined the Islamabad police as a constable in 1988.
