Only 84 members voted in favour of the bill introduced a week earlier in the Congress by Rohrabacher.
The bill asked the US Government to provide $50 million each to any American citizen "killed as a result of actions of Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence agency (ISI) or support provided by the ISI to other organizations or individuals, including the Haqqani Network".
The bill also stated that the $50 million per victim be withheld from US assistance to Pakistan.
It further asked the Secretary of Defense to certify every month how many US citizens had been killed as a result of support by the ISI to the Haqqani Network and other organizations.

How about Pakistan pays the U.S. 50 million dollars for each terrorist killed by U.S. drone strikes in Pakistan?

Fortunately the majority of the members in the U.S. Congress have more common sense than this Dana Rohrabacher. He had been banned from entering Afghanistan a while ago. Perhaps he should avoid Pakistan as well.
well ISI should realised now dt US is not with drawing from afghanistan and for how long will the innocent civilians gets killed.. this is globalised world and they dont understand the international arena because they are army and trained for war. somebody has to stop these minds
No effect on Pakistan except for it's liberal elite rulers. This is not even newsworthy.
FYI - it's not called a veto its simply another bill which didn't pass through the House of Representatives. The term veto is used when the President doesn't sign into law a bill which has been approved by both the House of Representatives and the Senate. No doubt this bill lost it's support when positive word came down about the NATO supply line.
@ashok sai: Non of your business.
Our blood has is worth a bullet, theirs is worth US$50, wow! Pakistan should not be accepting any of such stupid terms!
Thank you US for stopping money to Swiss account.
joke of the day
A temporary reprieve but not for long since any act of ommission by Pakistan against US in future could prove to be lethal for the country.
ISI has done more harm than good to Pakistan's reputation in International community, well we may tempted to interpret it as 'Isolation Services Internationally' !
