Impostor: Man posing as CM’s secretary arrested

DIG announced a cash reward and commendatory certificates for the team that arrested the imposter.

LAHORE: Police on Thursday arrested a man who claimed to be chief minister’s secretary. Samiuddin Nayyar was arrested when Punjab Seed Corporation’s Managing Director Altaf Aized Khan grew suspicious after he called him up and asked him to post an official from Rahim Yar Khan to Multan. Nayyar said he was calling on behalf of the chief minster.  Khan called the Chief Minister’s Secretariat and was told that there was no person by that name. A case was then registered against the suspect at the Mozang police station under Sections 419 and 25-D on May 14, on the application of Administration Director Aslam Mansoor. DIG (Operations) Muhammad Tahir Rai has announced a cash reward and commendatory certificates for the team that arrested the imposter.
