Behram Khan’s execution: President issues stay order
According to DIG prison Nusrat Mangan, the stay order was received by the jail officials on Thursday morning. The stay order has postponed his hanging till June 30.
Khan was sentenced to death by an Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) in 2003 after he was found guilty of murdering a lawyer Mohammad Ashraf on the premises of the Sindh High Court in April 2003.
Earlier this month, the president had rejected Khan's mercy petition, following which the ATC issued a black warrant for his execution at 4:30am on May 23.

I think it is human for us to forgive. Well murdering someone is really a bad thing to do. well , we can forgive people at times.
This is surprising. I think the president can pardon him if he show remorse. I think we all can make mistake sometimes

Sentenced in ATC? What happened to Appeals in High Court and the Supreme Court? They refused to take up the case as their "bhai band" is involved?
I am more than 200% sure Mr. Z must have garbed some commission (probably 50%) for issuing stay order :P
what was the reason for the stay of execution after refusing it once. and the president should not have the power, in light of our qisas/diyat laws in the penal code. no one but the legal heirs of the victim have the right.
What a sad day for the victims. Why so much of sympathy for the criminals.
