ISLAMABAD:
Around 936 teaching and non-teaching daily wage Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) employees are awaiting regularisation of service. Islamabad Model Schools Employees Welfare Association Senior Vice President Abdur Rauf told APP on Wednesday that daily wage employees salaries range between Rs1,500 and Rs4,000 while, those in model colleges get around Rs6,000 per month. He said despite the government’s announcement of Rs8,000 as minimum wage, these employees remain underpaid. He said around 400 teaching and non-teaching staff had been regularised on available posts following the government’s decision to regularise employees. Capital Administration and Development Division Joint Secretary Rafique Tahir had set March 5 as the deadline for regularising the remaining 936 daily wage employees but their case was not forwarded in time by the FDE, Rauf added.
