He replaced Dr Noshad Shaikh, who had completed only one year of his second four-year tenure in office. It was not clear whether he resigned from the post or not. Sources say that Shah’s name was second on the list of candidates who were interviewed by the Sindh governor’s search committee last year. They added that Shah used to work at Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre Karachi.
