KARACHI: The Karachi Public Transport Committee expressed concern about the rising incidence of robberies on public transport vehicles on Sunday. Ashraf Banglori, Chaudhry Mazhar Hussain and other office bearers of the committee urged the police department and other government agencies to deploy plain clothed personnel in public transport vehicles for the safety of passengers. They alleged that robberies often take place in Quaidabad, Malir River Bridge, Pakistan Steel turning and Razaqabad areas. They urged the police to set up security posts from Gulshan-e-Hadeed to Quaidabad, as most people are robbed while travelling along this route.
