Harrowing journey: PPP workers robbed near Jalbani

NAUDERO: Pakistan Peoples Party activists were robbed near Jalbani stop at the Sukkur-Larkana road as they were returning from the party’s rally at Kamoon Shaheed on Monday.

Arbab Bhatti, a PPP worker from Mehar taluka of Dadu district, told media personnel that a bus carrying party workers was intercepted by bandits who were wearing police uniforms.

Bhatti said that the bandits beat them and took away cell phones and cash totalling Rs25,000 and then fled. The workers later staged a demonstration at the spot and were joined by PPP workers from Larkana.
