FIA gets a new Director General amid high profile shuffle

Zafar Abbas Lak, former secretary of Ministry of Narcotics Control has been appointed as DG FIA.

LAHORE: The secretary of the Ministry of Narcotics Control Zafar Abbas Lak has been transferred and posted as Director General Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), while his predecessor Javed Iqbal has been transferred and posted as Secretary Ministry of Narcotic Control on Friday, The Express Tribune has learnt.

Lak, as secretary of Ministry of Narcotics had oversight in the investigations of MNA Ali Musa Gilani in connection with the Ephedrine case even as the Anti-Narcotics Force once again bound Musa to appear before the investigation team on Saturday, sources said.

A notification has been issued on Friday by the Establishment Division.

Let any one come but mutual understanding between government and institutions is must or nothing will happen.Everything will remain as it is.
