Development: Seminar on kids with special needs

Equipping children with modern learning and more teachers should be trained to cater to the needs of these children.

LAHORE: A seminar was organised on Wednesday by the Department of Social Sciences at the University of Management and Technology to focus on the development of children with special needs. The seminar was attended by various non governmental organisations including Ameen Maktib, Rising Sun Education and Welfare Society and Ghazali Education Trust. Ameen Maktib representative Khawar Sultana said her institution was involved in equipping children with special needs with modern learning and added that more teachers should be trained to cater to the needs of these children. Dr Abdul Tawwab, of Rising Sun Education and Welfare Society, said that society should address the issues of children with special needs.
