Committee Chairman Senator Raza Rabbani directed the staff to not open the door of Committee Room 5 after Akbar arrived 25 minutes late for the briefing.
The PCNS was being briefed by Director General Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) Lieutenant-General Zaheerul Islam and officials of other intelligence agencies.
DG ISI Zaheerul Islam was 35 minutes late for the meeting, but PCNS members allowed his entry.
Officials informed lawmakers about steps being taken by the concerned authorities regarding missing persons.
Sources said that DG ISI Zaheerul Islam informed the committee about the deplorable law and order situation in Balochistan.
Inspector General (IG) Frontier Corps (FC) Major General Nadir Zaib and the Balochistan home secretary also briefed the committee.
Zaib informed the committee that all missing persons went to Afghanistan and no one was in FC custody, a participant of the meeting told The Express Tribune.
Speaking to the media after the meeting, Zaib said that suggestions on how to solve the missing persons issue had been submitted to the government and it was now their responsibility to work on them and solve the issue.

@Uza Syed: "Why this? Both of the late comers should have been locked out not just one."
Someone in the audience can be locked out. If the person who is to make the presentation is locked out, who will present?
To be on TIME is the basic essence of prayers! 190 million people praying but nobody on time for appointments.
Why was ISI chief allowed? This shows the pathetic state of mind of our politicians who are dead scared of Faujis & some follow them very religiously like our ex fast bowler!
This shows the efficiency of top bureaucrats and military officials. They can't even be in a meeting on time. Main reason for the sorry state of affairs.
why to take an action if u dont have moral courage to withstand it in other situations
And how late were you Mr. Raza Rabbani? 10 minutes? (you still managed to come before DG ISI and Interior Secretary ;))
You're new job description should be the official time keeper of PPP.
Wake up guys: DG ISI was late by 35 minutes and then started the briefing. Mr. Secretery was further late by 25 minutes after the briefing had started i.e. he was late at least by 60 minutes [1 hour]. So he got what he deserved. This doesn't excuse DG ISI for being late in the first place.
PCNS was to be briefed by the DG ISI. How they can stop him from entering? What would be the purpose of meeting without him?
All are equal but some are more equal
it shows that khakis are above the law of land.its shame.
Why they allow DG ISI after 35 minutes late. Clearly double standard
DG ISI was late for 35 minutes then why he was allowed entry. Had he something important to share with the PCNS? If yes then what ??
what is the point of putting this story , "35 minutes late " thats all it states, what was a reason behind this??
sums up the state of affairs.
"DG ISI Zaheerul Islam was 35 minutes late for the meeting, but PCNS members allowed his entry." "Akbar arrived 25 minutes late for the briefing and was not allowed In" Alama Iqbal Said, "Berq Girti Hai To Bechare Musalmano'n Pe." Bloody Civillians..............
Had the govt. moral authority...they would not have treated secretary and ISI official differently... this is really shameful act....
Sometimes 25 is later than 35!
Why this? Both of the late comers should have been locked out not just one.
Cheap Bravado, should have made Gen Zaheerul Islam wait for few minutes for being late...
a good step for inculcating punctuality among the bureaucratic circles.
