Sindh Police arrests three BLA members in Karachi

Published: May 7, 2012

KARACHI: Sindh Police arrested three alleged terrorists from Shershah, Karachi on Monday.

According to Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Chaudhry Aslam, the three identified as Ghaffar Bugti, Shams Bugti and Faisal Bugti, were members of the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) and had arrived from Balochistan to deliver weapons to the Peoples Amn Committee (PAC) and gangsters of Lyari.

The police raided the area after receiving a tip-off about the three hiding there.

The cache of weapons included nine rockets and 550 bullets.

SSP Aslam added that they had delivered weapons and ammunition to the PAC six times in the past.

PAC leaders have however said that the police was making false cases against them, and arresting innocent people.

Police, FC deployed in Lyari

Government has deployed police and Frontier Constabulary (FC) personnel at the exit and entry points of Lyari on Monday night.

Additional IG Karachi Akhtar Hussain Gorchani confirmed the deployment, however, he said nothing about conducting an operation in the area.

The Sindh Reserve police and Rapid Response Force have also been called in.

Another failed attempt at propaganda. All of this being done to demonise the people of lyari so the protests will stop and a scared public would not make any noise when the group in lyari is eliminated.Suddenly, all sorts of terrorists like the taliban and bla we are being told are found living in lyari, why wasn’t there any noise about these people earlier? why are all these stories about taliban and bla in lyari being made public now by the sindh govt?
This is all just a lame attempt to discredit the aman committee in the eyes of the ppl so the media and public won’t object when they are killed off.

Now all sorts of terrorist groups will be shown by the sindh govt. to have links with the aman comittee. The govt. is doing all it can to portray the aman comittee as supporters of all sorts of terrorist groups.Pretty soon, the sindh police will claim that there are Nazis living in lyari who are also supporting the people’s aman comittee. This is all being done for the consumption of the media so the media won’t highlight it much when a final harsh operation is carried out in lyari.

God bless our Frontier Constabulary (FC). After Pakistan Army this Law Enforcing Agency has nationwide prescence and though we don’t realized and listen so often their martyrdom is even greater than Pakistan Army. They fight on the borders and within in the Cities with evil. Time to realize their contribution and tap them for their efforts. They are deployed in Quetta, Peshawar, Islamabad, Karachi and so many other places.

Sindh Police and Chaudary Aslam are compulsive liars by claiming to arrest three BLA members in Karachi… Infact they are abducted by the forces couple of months ago from Balochistan and since then their whereabouts were unknown.

The same Chaudhry Aslam when doing operation against MQM and famous for killing 100 MQM workers in encounters was the most reliable Policeman of the country and now the same acting against other then MQM he becomes Topi Drama Lair etc.
I would have accepted him as Lair if the whole nation called him lair when he was doing the same against MQM you people believed what he said than now I believe what he is saying nowRecommend

I am not going to call it a “topi drama” while sitting on my computer and writing a few lines. All I know is that law enforcement agencies were in Lyari and they were fired upon.
Something is wrong somewhere. Otherwise why someone would fire on police? If you become a target of police brutality, there is no shortage of media in Pakistan to show that.

To cut the long story short. “It’s a complete lie” The government itself is the supplier of these heavy weapons to the criminals in Lyari so that MQM shouldn’t enter there. And now claiming Baluchistan’s interference? BLA? What a joke! We really don’t think the arrested 3 have anything to do with Lyari.

@Mehwish , Are you kidding , if Ch Aslam killed 100 workers of MQM and living in karachi openly and so easily , Are you kidding ???
There is not a single police officer lived today who was involved in the encounters.Matter of fact MQM never went to the court of law to get justice to those people killed instead killed all policemen by themselves , the last but not the least is the DSP Fiyaz Ranjha.
    Please correct your records, thanks.

Well said Mehwish! Thousands of mqm workers were massacred in the 90s, in the name of eliminating terrorism from Karachi. The police officers who took part in that illegal operation and indulged in extra-judicial killings were hailed as heroes across the country. The state of massacres was so high that the entire government was dismissed in ’96 with the main reason being extra-judicial killings in Karachi. Now, in 2012, when action is being taken against a group that openly wages war against the state with sophisticated weaponry, there seems to be so much sympathy pouring for them (from Nawaz Sharif too). This speaks volumes about the state of prejudice and ethnic-mindedness that prevails in our society.

Will the alleged be taken to a court of justice before they are tortured in extrajudicial dungeons, killed under torture and their dead bodies dumped somewhere to be found by their grieving relatives — or disappear for ever?????

Why is this so hard to believe? Arms are smuggled into Karachi from West and if Indian trained MQM (Ajmal Pahari etc.) can work in Karachi why not Indian trained BLA?

Same liberals were jumping up and down when Chaudhry Aslam was talking against Taliban but now it’s fake because their favoured terrorists are on the line.

It’s a social media era… you can’t mislead the world by your compulsive lies. They are student of Balochistan university not member of BLA.

Read below links, which will help you understand the negative role of Pakistani security agencies.

This is the reality of Rehman Malik,Sindh Police and Chaudary Aslam. Now i want Express Tribune to give space to this story.

Beofre call it a Topi drama or labelling them as innocent students, look at their faces. What grade or class of students they look like? Even the most mature PHD student in Quetta, Karachi, Peshawar or Lahore will look like their kids. What a fool these both sides (Baluch nationalists and Government) are trying to make of us.

I’m originally from Karachi, Urdu-speaking household. The people of Lyari have historically been the most persecuted group not because they’re Baloch but because of their unquestionable support for PPP and other Sindhi nationalists parties. These people have never been afforded the right to education, health, etc. This is systemic and can’t be solved by forced or violence – but only by building schools, hospitals, and providing employment opportunities to the youth.

What you don’t like is topi drama. Otherwise not. After cutting the crap out, this time we should not spare a single criminal. How can they come all the way and nobody catches them on such a long way? Do they buy their passage through? If so that should also stop. The police should search the vehicles properly for weapons and not any one spared, instead they take money and let the vehicle truck or any transport pass. The roads must all be sealed coming to Karachi so that weapons are not smuggled in. It is mind boggling the way some people are shamelessly defending the cold blooded murderers. Let the police do its job please.

Someone can be called a killer if there is proof against him/her. None of those thousands, whom you are calling killers, ever had a trial run against them. Instead their tortured and burnt bodies used to come home. I know well about district central Karachi.

Is your police and judicial system capable of providing proofs? But why don’t you ask proofs from all sides and every body before accusing. Those who you do not like, you simply pass judgments they are so and so and for those who are your favorites even if a confirmed criminal, you want proof. Shabash. Acha insaaf hai bhai. Kabhi tho insaaf se kaam lo.
