Indian delegation visit: ‘Host SAARC scouts’ camp jointly’

AIOU VC said the scout movement is playing an important role in promoting peace and harmony across the world.

ISLAMABAD: Indian scouts’ leader Geeta Rawat has proposed that Pakistan and India jointly host the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) scouts’ camp, scheduled to take place later this year. She stated this while addressing a function in honour of the contingent of Indian scouts’ at Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) on Saturday. AIOU Vice-Chancellor said the scout movement is playing an important role in promoting peace and harmony across the world. He added that the visit of Indian scouts to Pakistan will strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries. The function was attended by 125-member Indian Scouts contingent and AIOU students and faculty.
