QUETTA: Baloch nationalist leader Nawabzada Jamil Bugti, the eldest son of Nawab Akbar Bugti, has said that defiance of court directives by government officials clearly indicate that the establishment is not interested in restoring peace in Balochistan. He expressed these views while talking to media at Quetta Press Club. “Though the superior court has passed orders in the missing persons’ cases, there has been no improvement in the law and order situation. Bullet-riddled and mutilated bodies were dumped in desolate places even during the Supreme Court hearing,” he told the journalists. Jamil reiterated his stance that a referendum under the supervision of the UN should be carried out in Balochistan enabling its people to decide whether they want to be part of Pakistan or not.
