KARACHI: The Government of Sindh has announced a five-day work week with immediate effect, said Chief Secretary Raja Muhammad Abbas here on Thursday. The government has decided this to save energy, the outcome of a conference held in Lahore. The timings of all government offices, autonomous, semi-autonomous bodies, corporations and local councils under the administrative control of the government of Sindh from Monday to Thursday will be 9am to 5pm. There will be a 30-minute break for prayers and lunch from 1pm to 1:30pm. On Fridays, the timings will be from 9am to 5pm with a 90-minute break from 1pm to 2:30pm. There will be holidays on Saturday and Sunday.
