Double or quits

RAWALPINDI: This is with reference to Lt-Gen (retd) Asad Durrani’s article of Aug 6 titled ‘Double or quits’.

I would like to make a very humble request to the ex-spy master. He should ask those at the helm of his erstwhile institution (who also are de-facto, at the helm of affairs of this country) to at least stop playing double games with the nation, and leave diplomacy to the diplomats. They should do what they have been hired to do — which is to follow the orders of the lawfully elected civilian government. This land would be a much better place if that were to happen.
