Drowned in blood (II)

WASHINGTON: The land-grabbing and drug mafias are involved in creating unrest in Karachi because political stability hurts their illegal business and activities. The MQM and the ANP are political parties with a good background. They have been working for the people under a capable leadership. A written code of conduct has been prepared and will be signed soon. That is a move in the right direction, provided that it is followed and implemented by both sides. The role of the prime minister and the interior minister cannot be disregarded as their timely interference has saved Karachi from further carnage and they both deserve heartfelt congratulations.
