Karachi Omar won the Southern Zone final of the 14th National Seniors Cup by four wickets. Karachi Omar thrashed Karachi Asim in the tournament organised by Pakistan Veterans Cricket Association. Batting first, Karachi Asim scored 317 for six off 30 overs. Former Pakistan international Sajid Ali scored 174 off 91 balls, an innings that included 10 sixes and 19 fours. In reply, Karachi Omar reached the target for the loss of six wickets off the second-last ball of the match. Nadeem Sheikh and Irfan Ali put up brilliant partnership of 208 runs off only 124 balls. The winning team was awarded Rs100,000 and Irfan Ali was declared man-of-the-match for his all-round performance.
