Polio eradication campaign: Officer lauded for anti-polio efforts

Foreign organisations were helping local agencies and government in combating the disease, says Karachi Commissioner.

KARACHI: The polio virus could be eradicated with routine immunisation campaigns, said Karachi Commissioner Roshan Ali Sheikh during a meeting on Wednesday. He applauded Deputy Commissioner (East) Qazi Jan Mohammad for representing Pakistan at the anti polio meeting in New Delhi. Shaikh said that foreign organisations were helping local agencies and the government in combating the disease.
