Addressing a rally during Jalsa-e-Inqilab held in Tehsil Jamrud, Khyber Agency, JI chief said, “Yousaf Raza Gilani is no longer the prime minister and Pakistan Peoples party’s (PPP’s) denial of Supreme Court depicts their stubbornness.”
Criticising the PPP, he said, “the government has failed to curb inflation, corruption and unemployment in the country.”
He added that the PPP had always been involved in violating rule of law through its corrupt leaders.
Condemning the strike in Miranshah on April 29, JI chief said, “Thousands of people left Tehsil Bara of Khyber Agency because of incessant curfew imposed for more than three years.”
He demanded an end to the drone strikes and military operations in the tribal heartlands. He said that security forces should always remember the sacrifices offered by the tribals who gave Azad Kashmir its independence.
Munawar said that if the government reopens Nato supply route, JI will block all roads by force and also protest against the drone strikes.
“Our relationship with the United States is akin to slavery,” he added.
Military operations in the tribal belt, he said, had forced schools and hospitals to shut, leaving the future of the region in uncertainty.
JI chief committed that Al-Khidmat Foundation, the philanthropic wing of JI, will establish a hospital and school in Jalozai Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) camp to educate and facilitate the fleeing people of Bara.

Very Informative article !!!
Alright - and why is there not a picture of the jalsa itself?
@Syed Faisal: JI was the one who always sided with the non democratic forces no wonder why are talking against the democracy. If this government is not performing well then we can't blame the whole system which is tested and tried all over the world. Not only in Zia's time but also in Musharraf's time, JI ruled the KPK province while in the centre they were the ones in MMA who have legalized the Musharraf's rule and constitutionalize his wrong-doings. Qazi Hussain himself admitted in one of his interviews that he had visited "Safe Houses" during the dialogue with Musharraf's Government to approve the 17th Amendement.
@Adnan, you cant blame all damage done by Zia and Musharraf , JI participated in the cabinet of Zia for just three months and then left, and everybody knows that JI always objected and condemned the acts of Musharraf. I met so many of people and they say that they prefer the military govt over the governments like of zardari , tell me the wrong doing of zardari and his predecessors are also the responsibility of JI. Comments should be unbiased and based on facts. Thanks
Where are rest of his team members? Is JI planning to move alone? What happened to DPC future? Did they finish the job?
@Abdul Qudoos: Like they did during the dictatorships of Zia and Musharraf.
Only Jamaat-e-Islami has the capability to stear country out of present crises and lead the nation towards prosperity and development.
ET - I am sure that there are much better usages of your space than to report such craps. I can assure you atleast that people do not even care to look at such articles.
NATO supplies will open only after JI comes to power; just like it did from 2002-2007.
