Snooker: Mehta clinches Asian title

Aditya Mehta thrashed compatriot Pankaj Advani to become only the third Indian to clinch the Asian Snooker Championships, according to the Times of India. Mehta won the second frame with a 49 clearance after being 40 down. After Pankaj gained a 3-2 lead, Mehta levelled and then made it 6-3 with a break of 60 in the ninth frame and eventually sealed the match 7-5.  “I feel extremely thrilled about winning the gold,” said Mehta. “After my earlier attempts where I won two silvers, I was determined to get the gold this year. It gives me immense pleasure to win this prestigious title.”
