Pitched battle: Residents protest against operation in Lyari

BENAZIRABAD: A protest was organised on Sunday by the Baloch Ittehad in front of the press club to express solidarity with the people of Lyari.

The protesters were led by Suhail Baloch, Sadiq Baloch and Badil Baloch. They marched from Sanghar Road till the press club and burnt tyres, blocking the road for hours.

According to them, the government was not taking the criminals to account in other parts of Karachi but only targeting Lyari. They demanded that the police end the operation and release the innocent people arrested.
