Malik to Sharif brothers: You are the kings of liars

Malik says he will presen­t eviden­ce before SC within a week, says Sharif brothe­rs can challe­nge his claims.

ISLAMABAD: Continuing his diatribe against the Sharif brothers, Interior Minister Rehman Malik said on Sunday that he will prove that the PML-N leaders are the "kings of liars". Malik has already begun preparations to file a reference to the National Accountability Bureau against the Sharif family, Express News reported.

Speaking to the media in Islamabad, Malik again alleged he had evidence that the leaders had siphoned off public funds worth $32 million.

The interior minister said he will present the evidence before the Supreme Court within a week, adding that if Nawaz and Shahbaz Sharif have the “courage” they can challenge his claims. “If they (Sharif brothers) are not guilty, they should prove me wrong."

He added that if PML-N threatens him, he will respond with "ten threats."

Malik claims that a high court in London passed a judgment declaring the Sharif brothers defaulters. “It was the people’s money that they had plundered and taken to London."

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) spokesperson Pervez Rasheed snubbed Malik’s allegations and said they have been rejected by different courts many times in the past.

Malik has crossed limits, says Chaudhry Nisar

In response to Malik’s tirade, Leader of the Opposition in National Assembly Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan said that the interior minister has crossed all limits in order to accuse Sharif brothers.

Speaking during a press conference in Islamabad, Nisar criticised Malik’s media talk and asked him to make all the proofs against his party leadership public.
