Further Probe: GM railway’s remand extended
The court fixed May 12 for the next hearing of the case.
LAHORE:
The accountability court on Saturday extended the remand of General Manager Railways Saeed Akhtar for 14 days. Saeed is alleged to be involved in selling bulk scrap at minimal rates, causing huge losses to the railways department. Officials of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) produced the accused before the court and sought an extension in his physical remand, saying that they were still collecting vital evidence regarding the purchase of plots by the accused in Raiwind’s Railway Colony and other residential areas. The court fixed May 12 for the next hearing of the case.
