PPP nominates Jahangir Badar for Leader of the House in Senate
Jahangir Badar is the Secretary General of the PPP and has served as a former Federal Minister and an MNA from NA-120 in the past.
In 2010, Badar had been acquitted by the NAB court in cases of misuse of authority and illegal appointments. The court rejected the references against him, while a case of hiding his property value to avoid tax is still under inquiry.

It has been PPP's policy to bring in new leaders and not reward tried and tested jiyalas. It is about time that they recognize the leaders and workers who have taken the flogging and jail terms from dictator Zia and his political offsprings. If anybody is listening, please bring all the old faces back in the party and not Babar Awan type.
