Rivalry: Three murdered in enmity

Police said Wajid was at his outhouse with friends when assailants arrived on five motorcycles and opened fire at them

FAISALABAD: Three persons were killed on Friday over an enmity in Langarana. Police said Wajid, the Numbredar for Chak 240-RB, was at his outhouse with friends when assailants arrived on five motorcycles and opened fire at them. Zulfiqar, Shams and Zafar Qureshi died on the spot while Wajid remained unhurt. Chiniot DPO Shahzad Akbar and the Bhowana DSP arrived on the scene and moved the bodies to the morgue. Langarana SHO Rana Khalid Rasheed told The Express Tribune that a complaint had been registered against 16 men. He said the two groups had murdered half a dozen men each. He said no arrests had been made yet.
