Inter-varsity volleyball event enters last-four

Peshawar Uni, Comset, Agricultural Uni and Bannu Uni into semis.

KARACHI: University of Peshawar, Comset University, Agricultural University Peshawar and Bannu University made their way into the semi-finals of the 2012 Pakistan Volleyball Federation Inter-Varsity Championship in Peshawar yesterday.

University of Peshawar defeated Iqra University 3-0 in the first quarter-final, winning 25-16, 25-6, 25-9. Agriculture University overcame Government College University (GCU) Faisalabad 3-2. They took the first set 25-18 but lost the next 25-22. Agriculture University won the next set 44-39 before GCU bounced back 25-22. However, Agriculture University won the tie with a 15-12 win in the final set.

Comset defeated Quaid-e-Azam University 3-2 and Bannu University crushed Government College University Lahore 3-1.
