LAHORE: Meanwhile, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan has warned the government of launching a “tsunami march” to Islamabad if the convicted prime minister does not immediately step down following the Supreme Court verdict. Writing on the micro-blogging website Twitter, the PTI chairman asserted that after the apex court’s judgment, the premier had “lost whatever shred of legal and moral authority he had”. Later addressing a press conference in Islamabad he said: “Gilani must resign immediately and the election commission must notify his five-year disqualification.” He announced that his party will start a historic “tsunami march” if the government continued “ridiculing the apex court”. “PTI will always stand by the Supreme Court, and the government is now constitutionally bound to elect a new prime minister.”
