KARACHI: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Lyari worker and Sindh Council member Malik Mohammed Khan was killed by unidentified men and five others were injured in different areas of the city following the PPP worker’s killing and the Prime Minister’s contempt case verdict on Thursday.

Protesters blocked the National Highway all the way to Steel Town after the PPP worker was killed and burnt tyres on the road.

Shops in Clifton, Boat Basin, Zamzama and Gizri were closed down after aerial firing by people protesting the contempt case verdict.

Protests were ongoing throughout the city, with Malir, Mehmoodabad and Lyari among the worst hit. One person in Orangi Town, one in Taimuria and three people in Peerabad were shot and injured.

The injured were shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.

Aren't these the same people that protested when Musharraf sacked CJ Chaudry Iftikhar?

The so-called stakeholders of karachi , MQM , PPP and ANP are destroying this beautiful city. They have a plan to make karachi as a Beirut of 1980's.
