KARACHI: Saad Ali hit a ton to help KESC take 51-run lead against PTV on the second day of their Patron’s Trophy Grade-II semi-final at the Pindi Stadium yesterday. KESC coach Zafar Ahmed praised Ali’s efforts. “It’s great to see a young player like Ali performing well under pressure against a tough opposition but he was ably supported by Akbar,” Ahmed told The Express Tribune. Meanwhile, Port Qasim Authority ended the rain-hit day in strong position against Omar Associates thanks to Kamran Younas’ 68. Replying to Omar Associates’ first-inning total of 179, Port Qasim ended the day with 152 for three.
