Gu’s silver jubilee: Badin resident claims prize

KARACHI: A banner attached to dozens of balloons, with messages in Urdu, Sindhi and English, sent in the air on April 16 during the silver jubilee celebrations of Greenwich University made its way to Badin. On the banner it was written that whoever found it must contact the university to claim a prize. Mohammad Usman Rind, a resident of Golarchi tehsil in Badin district, found it stuck in a tree. He claimed his prize and the university gave him a cheque of Rs25,000 at a ceremony on Tuesday. With financial support from his relatives, Rind travelled to Karachi with his grandson, Mashooq Ali, to receive the prize.
