Justice Aqeel Abbasi and Justice Nisar Ahmad Shaikh were hearing the case at Sindh High Court Hyderabad bench.
After hearing the arguments of Bukhari’s lawyer Haider Imam Rizvi, the court suspended ECP’s order and passed an injunctive order for April 26 by-elections.
The hearing was adjourned till May 15.
Bukhari faced an inquiry for assaulting polling staff and is also involved in an alleged case of rigging during the by-polls in PS-53 Tando Muhammad Khan.
She was declared the winner in the initial vote-count of the provincial seat by-poll (PS-53), but following the infamous slapping incident caught on video, the ECP withheld official results.
She was caught on camera slapping two female presiding officers at polling station no. 16 at the Government Girls High School.

Waheeda Shah is the perfect example of the state of our politics. She is what we represent, and she did what we deserve. What needed to be done was to slap her back instantly. It can still be done. She should be slapped in public and the video should be uploaded.
Today PPP ministers are slapping the public.
The time is not far away when they will become like Saddam Hussain or Idi Amin and just pull out a gun and shoot them!!!!
From this news item, I can foresee that Waheeda Shah in near future will be taking oath in the Sindh Assembly and will become member of the Provincial Assembly of Sindh.
What else can I say? The rest is meaningless.
To all .. i was University Election Commission Chair in Farmindale State Univesity... in University we had LAW 24HR before Election Candiate has to stay away from Polling station and also threating a any officer at duty will disqualify.. but she slaped...SHAME on the Justic System..
@Jibran: I dont agree with you. Raheela is absolutely right. You are wrong here. This is not a case of " slapping some one" . Its a case of slapping a government official who is acting on behalf of the state. Its a shame for the state that it can not protect its employees especially women. Its infact a slap on the face of the goverbement. Is it some thing light? Do this in any other country and the " slapping some one" may result life in prision.
So once again, our judicial system comes to protect those who commit crimes courageously and boldly and slap us on our face right in public while cameras capture their abhorable acts. Let our Judiciary announce, onec and for ever, without any ambiguity, on whose side does it stand the innocent victims or those who victimize us.
Ladies and gentlemen (readers), you are now OFFICIALLY in Pakistan and i welcome you all.this is what happens. money, political weight behind you and you do whatever you want. Shame on us all
Its not only courts or ECP, its people who elect them just like Jamshed Dasti re-elected by after proven fake degree. We as a nation like corrupt people, breed corruption, we are dishonest to core.
These courts haven't convicted any terrorist and one can definitely look at the PM case. I think the restoration of the incumbent judiciary wasn't a milestone for the civil society of Pakistan. The hands of the law only reach out to poor.
She is by law punishable for her act of slapping. Her punishment should be to disqualify her. But then don't forget she belongs to PPP...guardians of our destiny.
So Sad, Finally the whole system is for poor, not for these peoples. Very shamefull.
@raheela: Can you please point to the law in the penal code of Pakistan according to which slapping someone disqualifies you for 2 years? I'm not justifying her act, but I want to understand the "justice system" which according to you is failing in this case.
Ban this woman for life from politics. Or stop insulting our minds calling this system a democracy!
Power of wadeheras !!
Commendable. Let the people decide if they want to re-elect her or not.
This shows the core structure of our legal system. SHAME ON EVERYONE
Now this is Justice for a Cause .....Meaning ....... Any Justice is possible if One cause is to be served .!!!!! Shame on Pakistan Judicial system ..
welcome to pakistan where justice hardly served to the victims and perpetrators always remained at large..!! even though they caught red handed, does not matter..!!
