QUETTA: Lawyers boycotted court proceedings in major parts of Balochistan on Monday and demanded the safe and early release of their kidnapped colleague, Mukesh Kholi, who was abducted by armed men in Satellite town on Friday morning.

Kohli is the legal adviser for Jamhoori Watan Party (JWP) chief Nawabzada Shahzain Bugti whose bail plea was rejected by the Supreme Court’s Treasury Bench in the arms and ammunition recovery case.

The lawyer associations announced to continue their strike until the kidnapped lawyer is recovered. The strike call was made by the Balochistan Bar Association (BBA) and the High Court Bar Association.
