PHC grants bail to accused killers of Uzma Ayub’s brother

Alamzeb was shot dead in Dec 2011 as he escorted his sister, survivor of an alleged rape, for a court hearing.

PESHAWAR: The Peshawar High Court has accepted the bail pleas of four accused men in the murder case of Karak rape survivor Uzma Ayub’s brother Alamzeb.

One of the accused is a police official.

Alamzeb Khattak was shot dead on December 9, 2011, while escorting his sister Uzma for a hearing for her rape case at Karak courts.

Zafran, Uzma and Alamzeb’s brother, registered a case at the Takhte Nusrati Police Station in Karak and alleged ASI Hakim Khan, Javed Shah, Rehmat Shah, Ibrahim Shah and Abdul Waheed of having killed Alamzeb.

Police later arrested ASI Hakim, Javed, Rehmat and Abdul Waheed. Ibrahim, who is said to have escaped the scene on a motorcycle and is a brother of ASI Hakim, is yet to be arrested.

Justice Muftahuddin, accepted the bail applications of the four accused men.

thats exactly why people have lost faith in the judicial system in this country. Courts should be ashamed to work so uselessly and on such crap laws.
