Sapna case: DSP summoned on plea for Khosa’s arrest

Former chief minister is accused of abducting and murdering his ex-wife who is missing since June last year.

Additional District and Sessions Judge Muhammad Hussain Sial on Saturday summoned the Race Course deputy superintendent of police (DSP) for April 24 along with his comments on a petition seeking the arrest of former chief minister Dost Muhammad Khosa and others.

The former chief minister is accused of abducting and murdering his ex-wife, Sapna Khan, who has been missing since June last year.

On Saturday, petitioner Missal Khan, father of Sapna Khan, submitted that the former chief minister was relaxing at home while the police were doing nothing to arrest him. He said the DSP should be called to court to explain why. According to the FIR registered on Missal Khan’s complaint, he last spoke to his daughter on June 22, 2011, when she told him that Khosa was calling her to their GOR-1 residence. He said that after that day, his daughter’s phone remained switched off while Khosa refused to speak to them. He said Khosa also threatened to kill the family if they did not stop pursuing the case. The FIR was registered on the orders of an additional district and sessions court and the Lahore High Court.
