Confusion at Islamabad airport

ISLAMABAD: Station manager Zahid Hussain said he was not sure about the flights coming from Karachi. The Civil Aviation Authority information desk also proved unhelpful. Two flights from Karachi- AirBlue and PIA – were diverted to Lahore due to bad weather conditions. A total of 5 domestic flights had been delayed.

Approximately 300 passengers were stranded in the boarding room unaware of their time of departure. Meanwhile, the airfield remained closed for a total of two and a half hours. The Bhoja station manager said, “We are also waiting for news and I cannot comment on the crash because I don’t know the reason myself.”
