Zardari condemns killing of Murtaza Razvi
Razvi, who was senior assistant editor at Daily Dawn and head of its magazines section, was found in the first-floor apartment of Faran Homes, located on 10th Commercial Street in Karachi, on Thursday.
In a condolence message to the family, Zardari expressed shock and grief over the killing, and prayed for Razvi.
The Committee to Protect Journalists, an independent watchdog body, has also urged the authorities to investigate the killing of Razvi and apprehend those responsible for the crime.
"We offer our deep condolences to the family and colleagues of Murtaza Razvi," Bob Dietz, CPJ's Asia programme coordinator, said in a statement.
The journalist was reported missing on Thursday morning by his wife since he had not come home on Wednesday night.
Police said that Razvi was most probably murdered early morning on Thursday, but did not say why he was murdered, ruling out sectarian motivation. The family said that he did not have any personal enmities.
Razvi leaves behind a widow and three daughters.

@Roflcopter: It's the same people who did Salim Shahzad a while back. But don't worry they will never be found. It is very evident from his last article who would have killed him. It's definitely not CIA/ MOSSAD/ RAW but somebody who would have felt aggrieved by his logical and truthful article.

Murtaza Razvi's cold blooded murder in an apartment where he went there in the midnight have raised many questions.
The investigators should find out as what has forced him to go in a lonely apartment where no boy was living, as according to the various print media reports, he asked for the keys of the apartment which was given to the deceased by his friend Shahid around midnight.
The data of his cell phone for the previous three months and text messages will help the investigators to reach to a conclusion.

Whoever is responsible for this heinous crime against humanity, don't know the gravity of their action. Even if the culprit(s) are nabbed and punished, Pakistan has lost another brave soul. Another sane voice has been silenced. May his soul rest in peace.

It is very shocking news. Killing of journalists increasing. Journalists organisations should take up case with rulers for protection. May God grant peace to the departed soul and give patience to members of grieved family to bear the irreparable loss. Ameen
We all know who killed him! Nothing will come out from investigations since the killers are way too powerfull. Sad, we lost another sane voice calling for moderation.
