Karachi violence claims 11 lives
A total of seven people were killed in Orangi Town. Two of them were killed, while one sustained injuries when unknown assailants opened fire in the Gaddafi Chowk area of Orangi Town, Chipa Welfare sources said.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Orangi Town, Tariq Malih, while confirming the incident said that the injured had been shifted to a nearby hospital. The injured could not yet be identified.
Two people were killed in the New Sabzi Mandi area and one near Bilawal House in Clifton.
Another person was gunned down in the Teen Hatti area.
Express News reported that according to police records, more than 25 people have been killed during the last 20 days while the police has not been able control the situation.
DSP Malih said that the condition of two out of the three injured was serious because bullets had pierced through their head and chest.
Home Minister Sindh Manzoor Wasan directed the respective Station House Officers to patrol their areas in order to curb any terror bids.

When regionalism takes root and ethnicity prevails, when petty uneducated leaders attack another group without regard to feelings what else is going to happen? Pathans lived happily in Karachi until ANP came from Mardan and polarised society by playing electoral and vote bank politics. This should not happen. We are all Pakistanis and nothing else. We must develop all areas particularly PK so that they dont have to come to Karachi for a living and politics for ANP. Where has all the love and affection between Karachi residents gone? People coming to Karachi for a living should come without arms. Any one stating "Hathyar hamara zevar hai" must be arrested tried and punished as per law. Promote lawfulness and not lawlessness.
Enough is enough this city was made great by mohajirs and today outsiders are taking away is greatness and peace.
Dear All, I have gone through valuable comments of all and appreciate. All solution sound good but actual problem arises when person nominated in FIR is not arrested and becomes absconder. In my opinion, the security forces must focus their attention to all absconder and try their best to arrest them all. This will bring significant improvement in law and order situation in Karachi. However, if absconders are not arrested, security forces must conduct operation to apprehend them or kill them on sight.
Security forces must depoliticized and given power to shoot on sight any absconder and and criminal they come across. Furthermore security forces must be equipped with latest weaponry to counter the growing incidents of crimes and target killings.

OK I agree! but first the Police needs to find the killers. I am from Karachi and I have seen on several occasions that as soon as violence broke out in the City they are the first to hide. The most ridiculous institution of our country is none other than POLICE.

We are more concerned about Palestine, India, how India mistreats Kashmiris, Kashmir, how life is miserable for Muslims in India, but we dont care about killing of Shias, violence in Karachi.
MQM, ANP and PPP can win only if they increase the rift between different communities. They get the vote because these communities in order to protect them will vote for respective parties. People of Karachi can win only if they do not vote these violent parties and choose someone else.

The problem is not only the killing, but the real problem is what is the big reason behind the killings and what actually are the plans of the third hand. The previous experience of Karachihites showed that in the fight between two rival groups always a third hand is involved. The authorities must take actions to find the third hand, the root cause!
