The agreement was signed between the DHA and Doxiadis Associates from Greece, RMJM Architects from the UK and Osmani and Company. The project is situated at the outskirts of Karachi. The semi-hilly land will accommodate the future residential and commercial expansion of the metropolis. DHA Administrator Brig Khalid Tirmizi said the project would be developed in line with the most modern principles of town planning. Dr Pollalis of the consultancy services consortium said the latest national and global standards would be implemented.
DHA City is located on the Super Highway, about a 20 minutes drive from Jinnah International Airport. The land available is 11,640 acres out of which around 5,000 acres are being offered for allotment. The plots are also being offered to all citizens in an open ballot on a nine- to 10-year payment plan.
