LAHORE: Six lawyers got stuck on Thursday in an elevator at the Sessions Court as a result of a power outage. A Rescue 1122 team was called, which freed them. An official said that the lawyers had gotten on the elevator at the ground floor to go up. However, the electricity went out and they were stuck. Some of them called up their friends from their mobile phones, who then called Rescue 1122. A rescue official said that though physically fine, the lawyers seemed shaken up when they were taken out of the elevator. One of the lawyers remarked that he would not use the elevator “ever again”. “There’s no use for an elevator in a country with unpredictable power outages like Pakistan,” another said.
