Golf: K-P tournament to begin today

The three-day championship will carry a prize money of Rs570,000.

PESHAWAR: The 22nd edition of the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) National Ranking Open Golf Championship over 54-holes will commence at the 6,666-yards PAF Golf Course today. According to the K-P Golf Association Secretary Arshad Mehmood, the three-day championship will carry a prize money of Rs570,000. A total of 200 golfers, including professional and amateurs, will vie for the national title. Besides professional and amateur categories, boys’ under-15 and under-15 (over 18-holes each), ladies (over 18-holes), senior amateurs and veterans amateurs (over 18-holes) and senior professional (over 36-holes) will also be played. A putting competition for children and families will also be organised on the final day.
