Ephedrine scandal: ANF names Ali Musa Gilani in inquiry report

ANF submits report to SC with 8 additional accused, court rejects report on being incomplete.

ISLAMABAD:
The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF), listing Ali Musa Gilani as the main accused in the ephedrine scandal, submitted additional documents of its inquiry report in the Supreme Court on Thursday. The court raised a few objections on the report and rejected it.

The report added eight more names to the list of accused including Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani’s son Musa Gilani, PM’s Principal Secretary Khushnood Akhtar Lashari and Ministry of Narcotics Control Secretary Zafar Abbas Lak.

ANF alleged that Lak was trying to sabotage the inquiry process, and added that the ministry of narcotics has been asking ANF to stop its inquiry and also stop the proceedings in the Supreme Court.

The court raised objections over the report saying that some documents were incomplete.

A three-member bench of the apex court, headed by Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry, will hear the case tomorrow (Friday).
