The contest kicked off with Rhinos closing in on any chance for the tournament favourites as they won the early exchanges to lead 13-7 by the end of the first quarter. But the Falcons managed to recover in the second quarter outscoring the Rhinos 14-8, and leading both teams into the break with 21 points.
Falcons fought hard through Rizwan Khurshid, who bolstered the team through his scoring and was instrumental in taking rebounds both off the offensive and defensive boards. Both teams scored 21 points each in the fourth quarter but the 15-point advantage Falcons had by the end of the third quarter decided the game’s fortune.
Rizwan top-scored for Falcons with 18 points, followed by Anwar Khan who also had an excellent game claiming his 16 points.
