Squash: Bukhari, Kashif enter main round

KARACHI: Ali Bukhari qualified for the main round of Chief Of The Army Staff (COAS) International by beating Shoaib Hassan 3-2 in a qualifying match in Islamabad yesterday. Bukhari, who recently played his maiden tour final in Qatar, was stretched by Shoaib, who led twice before losing. The match lasted 79 minutes with Bukhari managing a 9-11, 11-3, 5-11, 11-8, 11-6 win. Meanwhile, Kashif Khan won after  Khawja Adil Maqbool‘s injury, and Shamsul Islam and Hamzah Bukhari raced to 3-0 victories against Naseem Khan and Zahir Shah respectively. The main round starts today.
